Was awesome! We arrived Friday afternoon. Perfect timing. Missed rain. Ocean was so warm. Even at 8am. Best vacation ever. Definitely beats our home town temp of 33 degrees for our high. Went hiking everywhere also.
Best beaches on Oahu. Our room backs up less than 40 feet from the water and the sun sets right over the mountainside. For those able, I highly recommend making the time to get here. My only regret is that we aren't staying longer.
Beautiful views. I was kind of disappointed in the amount of trash that had washed ashore. Not the beaches fault, but we definitely need to find a way to clean up the ocean. There were a lot of helicopters flying around, too. But I guess that's to be expected. It wasn't my favorite, but I'd visit again.
Other than that it was fantastic. We grilled every night and it was very handy to have the store very close.
We absolutely loved the beach, very safe. During the week no one is there. Wonderful to walk on. View from our condo was beautiful. We were happy we got the condo and not the cabins. Because we had a/c and a sliding door and our patio area. The only thing negative was we had fantastic made service the first few days, (we were there for 7 nights. ) but then it just kinda stopped. Completely. Our last couple days we had to ask for towels and soap. They didn't do their normal "clean up" and replace our dirty towels and sheets.
Bellows has beautiful beaches that are not crowded at all, which seems to be rare on Oahu. And the view along the coast is incredible! I did not stay in any of the lodging on the Station itself but they have cabins right on the beach that look comfortable for a vacation getaway. I know that I will consider staying at Bellows Air Force Station next time I vacation in Hawaii!
