This beach is beautiful with a wide sandy beach and gentle waves - great for families with younger kids. There’s a parking lot, lifeguard station, restrooms, outdoor showers and picnic tables, although the latter are located fairly close to the tent encampment so that might make some people leery.

Beautiful ocean. Lots of tents though. Bathroom facilities, but didn't use them. Look out for jelly fish, sister got stung while we were here. After taking her to the ER as a precaution, the staff said this beach is known for jelly fish (Portuguese man o' war jellyfish)

This is literally what the word vacation looks like. Gorgeous clear blue water, breathtaking views of the mountains, plenty of shade and not too crowded (end of December). BYOTP - bring your own toilet paper...but I'm not going to take away a star for something like that.

News reports say that this encampment has fewer issues than others because many are longtime residents rather than transients and that there’s an unofficial “mayor” of the encampment who deals with any problems.

We were also able to schedule a ride with Uber from the beach to go back to our hotel in Waikiki.

Spectacular 3 miles long white sand beach located about 45 minutes drive from Waikiki. The beach is pretty windy, especially during the winter months, and it actually gets a little cold. This beach is great for the whole family as the waves are not too high. The park has everything you need for a day at the beach (showers, restrooms, picnic tables), and lots of shade from the ironwood trees.

Best beach in all of Hawaii. Do not go to park though, just go into neighborhood and park on street and take public beach access to beach.
